VALENCIA

Language Travel Spain: Juan Antonio Manzano Director of Studies, LTS Valencia

“Valencia is certainly not only sea and sun. Valencia is the future: renovation and expansion in its architecture, in its nature, its inhabitants… its horizons, Valencia is the presence of the past and the illusion of the future. The numerous historical events have left their traces, enriching its patrimony. Turning Valencia into a open and cosmopolitan city and one of the most important of Spain, both on a cultural and economic level. Valencia, with its blue sky and sea, shining sun, past civilisations, offers a particular atmosphere. Valencians are extroverted, have a boisterous and open character. You will be charmed by their hospitality. Come, verify and enjoy!”

Juan Antonio Manzano
Director of Studies, LTS Valencia

The school is located right in the city centre and only 20 minutes from the beach by bus. The school of Valencia occupies a fourth floor and has 5 classrooms, fully equipped with a multimedia classroom, secretariat, teachers' room and meeting area. Near the school there is a magnificent park, which was once the bed of the River Turia, and the famous Museum of Arts and Science is located here.

Reasons for traveling Spanish in Valencia

The city:

Cultural/Recreational:
  • Valencians love fiestas and delighted in sharing their joy with others. By far the most popular of festivities are the world famous "Fallas" (12-19 March), or festive bonfires, with their explosion of colours, fireworks and the smell of gunpowder.
  • Leisure and entertainment activities in Valencia constitute one of the most exciting and extensive ranges throughout the Mediterranean. Everywhere, discos, night clubs and pubs provide the right kind of scene for enjoying a night out.
  • Language Travel Spain: Learning Spanish in Valencia - Spain In Valencia, there are many museums to be visited and monuments to be admired: you cannot miss a visit in the cathedral and the Royal monastery of Santa Maria.
  • With a fantastic climate and more than 500 kilometers of coast. The Valencia coast is one of the Spanish coastal areas with the most extensive beaches and therefore, it is decidedly one of the country's most tourist areas.
  • If you want to discover more than just sun and sand, you will find remains of most remote civilisations, Phoenicians, Greeks, Iberians and Romans.
  • No one will believe you on your return if you say you didn't have an authentic Valencian Paella. Trying one is a must!

Critical comment:
  • Valencia is a big and industrial city.
  • People of Valencia speak a dialect but of course you will be taught the purest Castillian.
  • The level of humidity is really high.

S. Woudrighem
"At the school for Business Administration and Economics I could have gone as a working student to the Olympic Games in Barcelona in a promotion team. If i had been able to speak Spanish. No go. I didn't want that to happen to me again so when I was finished traveling I started the course immediatley. Because LTS in Barcelona offered, in addition to Spanish, the Business specialization, I enrolled. Of course, I already know a lot about economics, but I really wanted to learn something about the Spanish business world.
That is really extra knowlewdge."
